Two Liberties

Our Abba Father created humanity with free will. In our USA, that sovereign condition became Social Liberty: the equal liberty of every person to live, work, worship, speak, build a family, own property, pursue happiness, and participate in society under laws that apply equally to all.

Inside Social Liberty is a second liberty: Religious Liberty. Social Liberty belongs to everyone, believer or non-believer, like the sun and rain. Religious Liberty protects believers and every other faith from government establishment, coercion, or interference. Religious Liberty, therefore, cannot stand by itself. It survives only inside a society that first protects Social Liberty for everyone.

That distinction changes the civic mission of the Body of Christ. Believers do not possess a higher Social Liberty than anyone else. We have a higher calling to defend the Social Liberty that protects everyone and makes Religious Liberty possible.

Do Not Create a “God vs. No God” Nation

Godly Civics^TM must never turn the public square into a “God vs. no God” contest. Scripture is Truth for believers, but non-believers do not accept Scripture as governing authority. Jesus said the world cannot receive the Spirit of Truth because it neither sees Him nor knows Him (John 14:16–17).

That does not mean believers hide our Abba Father. It means we understand the arena. Our Founding Fathers knew a new nation could not be governed by competing versions of “God says.” They protected the free exercise of faith while preventing the government from establishing one religious authority over everyone.

Godly Civics^TM therefore does not ask pulpit leaders to preach political factions. It does the opposite: it liberates our ecclesiae from political-faction warfare, so pulpit leaders can keep their focus on souls while believers fulfill their civic duty as WTP.

Two Audiences — Two Strategies

Godly Civics^TM and Liberty Civics^TM are not competing messages. There are two ways of presenting the same governing Principles to two different audiences.

Godly Civics^TM speaks to believers. It explains Social and Religious Liberty through our Abba Father, Scripture, the Laws of Nature, our Founding, and our duty to glorify Him in every part of life — including civics.

Liberty Civics^TM speaks to everyone. It makes the case through Social Liberty, measurable outcomes, research, the Scientific Method, the Laws of Nature, and governing Principles that can be examined without requiring belief in our Abba Father.

The result is one mission without division. Believers can stand openly in glory to our Abba Father while working beside non-believers for the same Social Liberty. We do not need agreement about the source of every Principle before we can measure whether the Principle works.

From the Laws of Nature to WePEG1787^TM

This is where Godly Civics^TM becomes more than a message. If government is to be driven by the Laws of Nature, WTP need those Laws translated into governing Principles that candidates can understand, answer, and be measured against.

Our Founders began that search in the Founding debates and the Federalist Papers. They had brilliant governing Principles, but they had very little historical experience with a nation living in Liberty. After nearly 250 years, WTP have a vast laboratory of state, local, federal, economic, family, and social outcomes. We can now do what they could only begin: enumerate the Principles, test them against research and experience, and keep refining them.

That is WePEG1787^TM. It does not ask, “Which party are you?” It asks, “How will you govern?” Candidates score the governing Principles from 0 to 10 in their level of agreement. The score is placed in front of the Principle, so the candidate reveals a governing position before asking for WTP’s power.

Once the candidate scores the Principles, the election changes. Personal attacks do not answer a score. Political-faction slogans do not answer a score. Unlimited money cannot change a candidate’s own written score. WePEG1787^TM forces the debate onto Principles and gives WTP the same measure for the next election: Did the representative govern as promised?

Refusing to score is itself information. If a candidate will not reveal how they intend to govern, WTP are free to treat that absence as zero agreement with the requested measure. The debate has still been forced.

Move the Debate to WTP’s Theatre

Political factions survive by keeping WTP in their theatre: personalities, accusations, slogans, fear, group favors, and “Megaphone Rights.” Godly Civics^TM moves the debate to WTP’s theatre: the Laws of Nature, governing Principles, measurable outcomes, and WTP’s consent.

That is the purpose of WePEG1787^TM. Candidates do not merely tell us what faction they belong to or what they oppose. They reveal how they will govern by scoring the Principles. WTP then has a common measure for choosing representatives and measuring them again after they serve.

This also changes how believers engage with social issues. We do not abandon morality. We move the argument from condemnation and faction warfare to the Laws of Nature: What protects Life? What strengthens Family? What preserves equal Social Liberty? What produces the best outcome for the most people? What does the evidence show?

The Christian Athlete Model

A Christian athlete can glorify our Abba Father while playing according to the rules of the game. The athlete does not stop the contest to condemn the opponent or turn the team into an ecclesia. The athlete competes well, demonstrates character, and lets that life open doors for others to see where it comes from.

Godly Civics^TM works the same way. Believers enter the civic arena in glory to our Abba Father, but we use the civic language that belongs to everyone: Social Liberty, the Laws of Nature, governing Principles, evidence, measurable outcomes, and WTP’s consent.

One Mission

Godly Civics^TM mission is to preserve Social Liberty so that Religious Liberty remains alive as long as possible, giving the Body of Christ the freedom to reach as many souls as possible. Liberty Civics extends that defense to all Social Liberty-loving citizens. WePEG1787^TM gives both groups the same Citizen’s Measure.

That is why the two Liberties become one mission: defend Social Liberty for everyone, preserve Religious Liberty within it, and replace political-faction government with Principle-centered Civics.
