PART II — BODY OF CHRIST

THE NEW AWAKENING OF FAITH

Awaken the Lion. Find the Pride. Take the Measure. Take Action.

Godly CivicsTM begins with awakening, not politics.

A New Awakening is the spiritual doorway into Godly CivicsTM. Before we ask how believers should engage in civics, we must first recover who we are, why our Abba Father created us, and how His order governs His creation.

The earlier colonial Awakening did not begin as a political program. It crossed denominational lines, restored personal faith, emphasized the work of the Holy Spirit, and changed the character of communities. That spiritual renewal helped create the moral soil in which American Liberty could later grow.

Godly CivicsTM sees the present moment in the same sequence: awakening first, then civic obedience. This is why the Awakening page belongs first. This page explains the heart behind what comes next.

Why “Abba Father”

Godly CivicsTM intentionally uses Abba Father more often than the general term “God” because this is the believer-facing implementation of The Biblical USA View™. The language is relational, not merely institutional.

Jesus prayed, “Abba, Father,” in Mark 14:36. Paul then brings believers into that same family language: Romans 8:15 says that by the Spirit of adoption “we cry out, ‘Abba, Father,’” and Galatians 4:6 says the Spirit of His Son cries in our hearts, “Abba, Father.” Godly CivicsTM therefore approaches civics as Family Business: children of our Abba Father seeking to glorify Him in every part of life.

That purpose is explicit in Isaiah 43:7: we were created for His glory. Paul carries it into daily life in 1 Corinthians 10:31: “Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Godly CivicsTM adds one unavoidable application: our civics is part of “whatever you do.”

The Awakening and Liberty

The colonial Awakening, from roughly 1730 to 1770, spread across the colonies and denominations through preaching, repentance, conversion, personal holiness, and the inner witness of the Holy Spirit. Its spiritual emphasis also reinforced the equality of souls before our Abba Father and a personal faith that could not be reduced to state religion or inherited membership.

Godly CivicsTM sees a powerful parallel today. Our worship centers do not need to unite in doctrine, liturgy, or denominational structure. They can awaken together to a common civic responsibility: to preserve the Social Liberty in which Religious Liberty can live and do it in glory to our Abba Father.

That does not make a spiritual Awakening a political campaign. It does the opposite. The Awakening moves believers away from political-faction identity and back to our Abba Father, Truth, Liberty, moral responsibility, and the Laws of Nature. The political strategy comes later.

The Laws of Nature Are Part of the Awakening

The Biblical USA View™ establishes that the Laws of Nature are not an isolated phrase in the Declaration of Independence. Scripture repeatedly presents creation as ordered, knowable, consequential, and accessible to human reason and conscience. Godly CivicsTM brings that biblical understanding into Christian implementation.

Psalm 19:1–4 says the heavens declare our Abba Father’s glory and their witness goes throughout the Earth. Jeremiah 33:25 speaks of His appointed “ordinances of heaven and earth.” Romans 1:19–20 says His invisible attributes are understood through the things that are made. Romans 2:14–15 says the work of the Law is written in human hearts and witnessed by conscience.

The same pattern appears in cause and effect. Galatians 6:7–8 gives the moral law of sowing and reaping: what a person sows, that person reaps. Proverbs 14:34 extends moral consequence to nations: “Righteousness exalts a nation.” Job 38:33 asks, “Do you know the laws of the heavens?” Genesis 1:28 gives humanity the assignment to fill and subdue the Earth—an assignment that requires discovering how creation works.

These passages broaden the foundation. Physical laws, moral laws, economic laws, and social laws differ in how they are discovered and measured, but Godly CivicsTM treats them alike in one important respect: outcomes matter. We do not get to repeal cause and effect because a political faction dislikes the result.

The Awakening Needs an Instrument

The earlier Awakenings changed hearts and prepared people for action. This Awakening must do the same, but our civic assignment has something earlier generations did not have: almost 250 years of American experience with Liberty, government, economics, social outcomes, and political factions.

Our Founders understood governing Principles and placed the Laws of Nature at the bedrock of the Declaration of Independence, but they could not enumerate what centuries of experience had not yet revealed. Today we can search, test, compare outcomes, improve the Principles, and write them down.

That is the missing bridge from Awakening to action. The Laws of Nature cannot remain an inspiring idea. They must become a usable Citizen’s Measure. Godly CivicsTM calls that measure WePEG1787TM — We the People’s Principles of Effective Governing.

The Awakening prepares the heart. The Laws of Nature provide the governing standard. WePEG1787TM puts that standard into the hands of WTP.

From Awakening to Action

The Awakening is not the implementation plan. Its job is to awaken the Body of Christ to our Abba Father, His glory, Liberty, Truth, moral responsibility, and His ordered creation.

Second: how does the Body of Christ actually organize, teach, measure candidates, and vote without becoming another political faction? That is the purpose of All Believers — The Implementation.
